Take NYC by Foot

New York City is a city built for walking tours and with warm weather just around the corner (hopefully!), there are tons of reasons to head out onto the pavement and explore the city by foot. The streets surrounding Hotel Chandler are teeming with upscale clothing boutiques, cozy coffee houses and diverse eateries. Located on a quiet side street off Fifth Avenue, our Flatiron hotel is situated between skyscrapers and brownstones, within easy access of vibrant things to do in Midtown Manhattan.

Walking Tours of NYC:

Dining & Nightlife: Sample the flavors of NYC by visiting local restaurants and bars near the hotel. Taste the fruit of the vines at Wine:30 or gourmet cheeses at Artisanal Fromagerie & Bistro. Eat a famous burger at Shake Shack, located in the middle of Madison Square Park, or indulge in porterhouse steak at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse.

Shopping: Fifth Avenue Shopping is some of the best shopping in the world. Countless designer brands and intimate boutiques line the famed avenues and all are within close proximity of Hotel Chandler. Stop by Saks Fifth Avenue, survey seven floors of merchandise at Macy’s and window shop your way through Midtown.

Entertainment: The best in theatre, music and film are within easy access of our Flatiron District hotel, including the People’s Improv Theater, Shubert Theater, Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Culture & Museums: Whether you have a taste for contemporary art or historical artifacts, the museums and libraries surrounding the hotel offer something for everyone. Check out Jackson Pollock at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), or behold a Matisse at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. A must-see is also the American Museum of Natural History with its iconic dinosaur bone display.

Outdoor Spaces: Despite the city’s prominent skyscrapers and boulevards, NYC is also home to a number of lush parks within close proximity of the hotel. Madison Square Park is just outside the hotel and the others a short walk away: Bryant Park, Gramercy Park and Central Park.
